Pilot
Start a reviewed pilot with Absentra
Try Absentra for 30 days with your own organisation. You submit a request, we review it, and after approval you get access. So you know where you stand before you start.
What is a pilot?
A temporary trial period in which you test Absentra's administrative workflow against the way you actually work.
During the pilot you record and follow up real sick and recovery notifications, exactly as you would in structural use. You only use the administrative data that is needed. There are no fields for medical content such as diagnoses, symptoms, treatments or causes of illness.
We guide you through the introductory phase: with the setup, with questions and with the evaluation. A pilot is not an unlimited free account. It is a defined period with a clear goal: deciding whether Absentra fits your organisation.
The pilot runs on Standard: you try the full Standard plan for 30 days, suitable for up to 500 active employees and 25 users. That is different from Free, the permanently free plan for up to 5 active employees and 1 user. If you have more than 5 employees, evaluate Absentra properly through this pilot rather than registering five employees in Free. If your organisation has more than 500 active employees or more than 25 users, Enterprise is the better fit; that always starts with a conversation. See the pricing and plans for the differences.
We develop and validate Absentra first for organisations in the Netherlands. If you are based elsewhere, you are welcome to explore the demo and tell us what you need.
Who is the pilot for?
Organisations that want to improve
Organisations that want a clearer way to follow up absence than they have today.
HR and team leads
The people who record notifications, follow them up and need to keep the overview.
Teams working with loose tools
If you work with email, spreadsheets and calendars, the pilot shows the difference right away.
Anyone who wants to test first
Organisations that want to try the workflow before committing to structural use.

What happens during a pilot?
Six steps, from request to evaluation.
- 1
Request
You fill in the form: who you are, how many active employees you have and what you want to solve.
- 2
Review
We review the request and check whether Absentra fits the way you work. You hear back quickly.
- 3
Access
After approval you get access to Absentra. On Standard, the 30 free trial days start here.
- 4
Setup
You set up the basics: employees, departments, roles and permissions. We help where needed.
- 5
Testing
You record and follow up real notifications with a small group, without any medical content.
- 6
Evaluation
Together we discuss what worked, what was missing and whether structural use makes sense.
What do you get during the pilot?
The core functionality that is live today. We do not promise what is still in development.
- Administrative sick and recovery notifications
- Tasks with deadlines and owners
- Non-medical contact moments
- Roles and permissions
- Dashboard and timeline
- Notifications
- Audit logging
- Strict separation between organisations (tenant isolation)
What do we ask of you?
A pilot only works when both sides know what to expect.
- One point of contact in your organisation, so questions do not drift.
- Short feedback on what works and what does not.
- Use with a small group first, not the whole organisation at once.
- No medical content, not even in free-text fields.
- Report problems or missing features, so we can pick them up.
After the pilot
We close with an evaluation: what worked, what was missing and what does your organisation need?
If Absentra fits, you choose a suitable plan together with us. Nothing continues automatically: there is no online checkout, no automatic renewal and no payment method requested up front. If you stop after the pilot, it ends there.
