An active employee has an active employment contract and has not been archived. The price is determined by the number of active employees. You do not pay a separate amount per HR or manager account.

What counts as a user?
The user limit is about accounts, not about registered employees.
A user is someone with their own account and access to the Absentra organisation, such as an HR employee, administrator or team lead. Employees who are only registered administratively in Absentra do not count as users.
Standard includes up to 25 users within the fixed price formula; there is no separate per-user charge. Existing data remains available when a plan limit is reached. Further growth may require a different plan.
What is the difference between Free and the 30-day trial?
Two different things: a plan that stays free, and a trial period of the paid plan.

More than 5 active employees? Then Standard is the better fit. For a serious evaluation, use the pilot with 30 days of Standard rather than registering five employees in Free.

Standard scales gradually: every additional active employee costs €1 per month.
Free is meant for up to 5 active employees. If you grow beyond that, Standard is the better fit; we discuss the move together. Existing registrations, employees and tasks remain available throughout.

Yes. Free is meant for up to 5 active employees and 1 user, and has no end date. It is a low-threshold way to use Absentra. If you have more than 5 active employees, Standard is the better fit.

Standard supports up to 25 users within the fixed price formula. There is no separate per-user charge. If you need more than 25 users, Enterprise is the better fit.
A user is someone with their own account and access to the Absentra organisation, such as an HR employee, administrator or team lead. Employees who are only registered administratively and have no login of their own do not count towards the user limit.

Someone with an active employment contract who has not been archived. Archived employees do not count towards the price.
Free is a permanently free plan for up to 5 active employees and 1 user, with no end date. The trial is something else: 30 days of the full Standard plan, with no employee limit. For organisations with more than 5 employees, the trial is the best way to evaluate Absentra properly.
Yes. The Standard trial begins once we have reviewed and approved your request. We do not ask for a payment method up front.
We evaluate the pilot together: what worked, what was missing and what your organisation needs. If Absentra fits, you choose Standard or, with up to 5 active employees, Free. Nothing continues automatically: there is no automatic renewal.
Not yet. During the introductory phase we admit organisations in a controlled way: you send a request, we review it, and then you get access to onboarding. Paying online or signing yourself up is not possible yet.
